ANIMATION: Shows how Rejyna's individual digital shot ( Polaroid PDC) is composited into a digital
background, which is then used for other pieces as well.

In Photoshop, Rejyna individually color corrects & enhances, creates alpha channels, places the item, and then creates the faux background with shadowing.  The CMYK final is used for CD & Print catalogs and the RGB version was used on the web & in email promotions.

WHY NOT REAL BACKGROUNDS?  Well, in this case, a manufacturer submitted samples for 60 different iron pieces, in five different finishes.  Each was photographed & then the items were split up & shipped to multiple shows.  After buyers could gauge which items garnered the most interest at the preview show, they contacted Rejyna at the HQ in-plant lab with the specific items that were chosen for the product line.  For this reason, each sample that comes in is photographed individually right away, and alpha channels are created as part of the archiving process.  In this way, one-of-a-kinds can be previewed on the road, and subsequently, the hottest sellers can be determined & revised indefinitely using alpha channel compositing.
